Giant Chinese Lantern Festival Introduction
The Giant Chinese Lantern Festival Site Selection Committee is seeking host cities and countries for this 2,200 year old cultural heritage tourism destination festival.
Chinese Lantern Festivals were started in 208 BC by the First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang as a peaceful unification technique for former enemies in a new country named China. The lanterns are art, history, education, curious, interesting, and fun. They come in small, medium and giant sizes.
A historic cultural heritage destination event, the Giant Chinese Lantern Festival will attract domestic and international tourist to the host city and country. The important event in Asia, the Lantern Festival will define the host city and country, in Asia, as a “Good Luck, Good Fortune, and Happiness” location. This definition means we are a wonderful place for education, investment, vacation, government relations and, friendships. Strong in all of Asia, it is particularly important in PR China, Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam.
The Giant Chinese Lantern Festival’s market is PR China, Korea, Japan, Europe, and Vietnam. The marketing will include major advertisement and notification via television, radio, print media, and, the internet. 80 Giant Lantern Craftsmen, from PR China, will construct in three months a must see and experience exhibition of art. The Festivals main features are 40 giant lanterns, some five stories high and/or 30 m (290’) long, 250 medium sized will define special events, and 2,500 small lanterns that light the pathways. Once completed, 40 Lantern Craftsmen will remain behind to maintain and dismantle the Lanterns.
This historic cultural destination event, Chinese in origin, 208 BC, the Lantern Festival is significant to Asians everywhere. Lanterns in the home or business states that happiness, success, and good luck reside there.
