Supporting events include exhibitions, seminars, lectures, and
entertainment. Treasure Ships from the 14th and 15th
Century, and, the Cambridge University Press will exhibit Chinese
artifacts and inventions. The focus will be on Chinese History, Science,
Invention, and Contributions to Civilization. These events will be held at
several local colleges and universities, and, at the Lantern Festival.
The festival shall receive worldwide media coverage as a historically
significant event. It is very important to Asia and China. New to the US,
American citizens, without knowledge of Lantern Festivals, shall be
greatly surprised, royally entertained, and, wonderfully accepting of a
new and special art form. The art form combines holidays, education,
family outings, and happiness.
The committee also seeks domestic sponsorships from government, business,
and individuals to support the recently authorized PRC contributions.
