Committees
Business and Education Committees Jin Kehua has proven experience and business development in China, having grown the international training program from one customer to 42 and 11 provinces and eight national organizations in China. He also assists US companies doing business in China, and Chinese companies doing business in the US. He is also Director of the Confucius Institute at Kennesaw University and served as cultural liaison for Wal-Mart's first store in Shenzhen.
Marketing Committee Kathe Falls is Director of the International Trade Department of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. She oversees the international trade services and programs of the department. She has been with the economic development Department since 1984 holding several positions of increasing responsibility and international trade. Ms. Falls has also served as coordinator for the state's efforts in establishing the nation's first federal -- state partnership for export finance and marketing assistance. Charlice Byrd is a State Representative in the Georgia House of Representatives who serves on the Committees for Children and Youth, Economic Development and Tourism, Health and Human Services, and the Judiciary (Non Civil). While living in Hong Kong she was President of the League of Women Voters, and the Director of Republicans Abroad. In addition, she served on the Asian Pacific Institute for Congressional Studies. She was named one of the 25 most influential Asians and Georgia.
Finance Committee Lani Wong. The chair of the national Association of Chinese-Americans has been at the forefront of community service and community leadership for nearly 30 years. She is a true pioneer in her vision and foresight and promoting US -- China relations, excellence in Education, and participation of Chinese-Americans in the American political process. She is a recognized community leader at the local, national, and international level. She has attended several functions during President whose visit to the White House. She also serves as a member of the national committee on United States -- China relations. David Yu is Executive Vice President and Director of the United Commercial Bank. He was instrumental in organizing the efforts to bring the giant pandas ------ and Yang Yang to be Atlanta zoo, which has become a major regional draw for the city. In addition his bank has served the Asian community and US companies that conduct business in China for more than 20 years.
Site Committee Lynn Munnell represents John Portman and Associates, a diverse group of talented people from many countries and cultures, each chosen for his or her talent, expertise, and commitment to the highest standards of quality in design and service. In addition, the specialized consultants they work with have considerable international project experience, creating an even more valuable and insightful team.
Education Committee Penelope Prime is the Director of the China Research Center and Economics Professor at Mercer University. She promotes original research and education on China's contemporary politics, business environment, culture, and links experts of the larger community interested in developments in China. Prime first visited China in 1976 and lived there for three years to study and work within the Chinese culture and the dynamic Chinese economy. She majored in Chinese studies and Mandarin as an undergraduate and earned a Ph.D. in economics. She was among the first US graduate students to do dissertation research in China after the US and China normalized relations in 1979. She has directed study abroad programs, taking over 200 students to China and conducted research and study tours in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Administration and Legal Committee
D’Nese Lynn Moore, a law-trained educator, writer, consultant and lifelong learner is Executive Vice President of Administration, Moore International Holding Corporation. Moore was the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Atlantic Telephone and Telegraph (AT & T) for 14 years, and, Bell Research Laboratories Director Properties and Human Resources until entering private law practice in New York City and becoming an award winning Poet and book critic for numerous newspapers, magazines, and scholarly journals for higher education. Moore also served as Executive Vice President of Lane College and Editor of the Yale Law Review where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence. Liaison Committee Dimitri R. Moore is Chairman and Co-founder US (15 Cities) and Atlanta Chinese Lantern Festival organizations. Glendon Thompson is President and Co-founder US (15 Cities) and Atlanta Chinese Lantern Festival organizations.
